Kachi ghani machine
Kachi Ghani machine is another traditional oil extraction machine used in India to extract oil from mustard, sesame, and groundnut.
The Kachi Ghani machine uses a two-step process for oil extraction. In the first step, the seeds are crushed by a heavy stone, and the oil is collected in a vessel. The collected oil is filtered through a cloth to remove impurities in the second step.
Kachi Ghani machines are popular in India because they are simple to operate and do not require electricity or any other external power source. The oil extracted through this method is considered more natural and healthier as it is cold-pressed, preserving the natural nutrients and flavor of the oil.
However, Kachi Ghani machines have certain limitations. They are not suitable for extracting oil from large quantities of seeds and are labor-intensive. Therefore, they are mainly used for small-scale oil extraction in rural areas.
The ancient people are innovate and used this method for making edible and non-edible oils
In summary, both Sachi Ghani and Kachi Ghani machines are traditional oil extraction methods used in India for centuries. While they have been largely replaced by wooden oil extraction machines ( marachekku) oil extraction methods in commercial settings, they are still used in rural areas for small-scale oil extraction. Nowadays new method of marachekku machines widely used, innovated by Andavar lathe works
